BIOGRAPHY

Megumi is a London based free-lanced make-up artist represented @agencyofsubstance.
Born in Kobe Japan, Megumi had an interest in art from an early age and studied sculpture at KobeYamate University. She went on to study makeup and since then has always wanted to recreate her art pieces through makeup and body painting. Her work has been described as elegant yet challenging often inspired by her favourite Japanese creators Utagawa Hiroshige, Tadanori Yokoo, Taro Okamoto. Megumi moved to Paris and immersed herself in the world of fashion and beauty makeup during that time she assisted world renowned make-up artists Lucia Pica and Fara Homidi. On moving to London, she has established an impressive portfolio working editorials and campaigns becoming well known for beautifully effortless, illuminated skin work as well as her more directional work in color and black & white. Megumi is dedicated to supporting emerging fine artists alongside her commercial work for brands. Her work has featured in magazines such as VOGUE, Perfect magazine, W, Numero, GQ, i-D, Document Journal, DAZED, and Another.
